Haiti
Continue to pray for the people of Haiti and the families that have lost loved ones. That earthquake has left the cities of Haiti in destruction. I cannot even imagine the devastation, the pain, and hurt the people there are going through. But they are in God's hands and are being protected, and what we can do right now is pray, pray, pray.

New Beginings
So I recently picked up on blogging, and I have fallen in love. I could spent countless hours going on about my life and so much more in these posts(but I will try not to for your sake:)). When I was trying to think of a title for this blog, my word for the year "fearless" kept popping into my mind. Many of you when you hear the word "fearless" think of Taylor Swift. Honestly, that's where I really was first introduced to the word. All my life I thought "fearless" meant without fear, until I read a excert from TSwift's cd that said this:
"FEARLESS is not the absence of fear. It’s not being completely unafraid. To me, FEARLESS is having fears. FEARLESS is having doubts. Lots of them. To me, FEARLESS is living in spite of those things that scare you to death. FEARLESS is getting back up and fighting for what you want over and over again… even though every time you’ve tried before, you’ve lost."
Something about those words really frame the kind of person we ought to be. Yes, everyone has fears(I don't know anyone that doesn't), and we have to learn to live in spite of them. Do not let your fears shape the person you become. Also, like she says everyone falls down everyone becomes weak but you need to stand back up and fight for what you want. I love the quote that says, "If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything."
Why I choose "fearless" as my word for the year? When I looked up fearless in the dictionary one of the definitions said "in awe of" and I thought about that and related it to God, and it hit me that I need to be more in awe of God. Some much of the time I just expect God to work and move in my life, not even really asking, taking away the awe I have for God. He is such a mighty, powerful, holy, soverign God that alot of the time we know what God can do and don't even give him credit. So I am spending this year on realizing the awe of our Lord Jesus. :)
