Before I close for the night, I wanted to share something I was talking about with my family. Saturday morning I was sitting at the kitchen table with my mom and grandparents. We were talking about how we are so lucky to have what we have here in America, cause other countries are not as fortunate as us. We thought, what if God had placed us in Haiti, for example, instead of America. By the grace of God, He allowed us to be born into a wonderful country with many unecesary luxaries. I want to thank Him everyday if the blessings He has given me, and never take them for granted.
Ephesians 1:3[ Spiritual Blessings in Christ ] Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

Valentines Day
Well hey there! It seems like its been forever. I meant to post this blog on friday night but I guess it didnt get done. I also want to let you know that this blog is kinda personal too me and I really thought about what I was gonna write before writing it. Well as you all are aware today is Valentines day! I know this holiday seems like a day for only people in love, and whenever Febuary 14th rolls around, if you are not in a relationship, you spend the day sitting at home watching romantic movies wishing it was you. Well this should not be the case! Valentines day was created in honor of love, an excuse for Hallmark stores across the country to sell more cards, for chocolate companies to sell more chocolate, and for florist's to sell more flowers. And people have made it that if you are not dating on vday then you are alone, sad, and unhappy. Wow, America way to get the wrong idea. I personally believe that you can celebrate vday, happy and single. Because girls, here is the truth: you do not need a man to make you happy. I know, I know we all read the books, see the movies and invision the fairy-tale true love. Ladies, we are all strong and independant. Alot of times guys think we are weak and just need men to hang on. Now dont get me wrong, I dont hate Valentines day or love. In fact, I am a hopeless romantic who dreams of a fairytale romance. But dont let this Valentines day bring you down! We most definately can be single and happy. One day we all will get our valentine:)
I also wanted to share what I think true love is. When I think of falling in love and what it will feel like I think of 1 Corinthians 13: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." Those last three words really dig deep into my heart, love NEVER fails. When these words were written in the bible, it was God's feeling for us. His love for us NEVER(ever!) fails, He loves us beyond imagine! So when I read this I put it into perspective for a future husband. Today in church we were talking about the myths of love, and one of the myths was: Love is a fairytale. Wow, as soon as these words flashed up on the screen I sunk into my chair. If I could describe the love I picture, it would be FAIRYTALE! They had a married couple talk about how their marriage at first was not a fairy tale, despite their expections and fantasies. And immediately I thought to myself, well here is how I picture my future marriage: we wake up next to each other, he kisses my forehead, we dance in the rain(thanks taylor swift for this fantasy), he wraps his arms around me and sweeps me off my feet, he sings to me, we walk in the park together, we have tons of kids together, and we grow old together. Now, tell me does that sounds extremely fantasy too you? yeah i thought so:) And you say, well what if I dont get married? Actually, I really have never asked myself that. Girls dont really live their life thinking "if" I get married, we think "when" we get married. so when they talked about this is made me realize it will be tough but with God in the center of your relationships and marriage, you will become strong. So I wish everyone a Happy Valentines Day:)

all that im after is a life full of laughter.
Good morning everyone! Last night was a start to my crazy weekend. I celebrated my birthday last night with my friends and we went and saw the movie Dear John. I definatley recommend it, but you should absolutley read the book first! It was a wonderful love story about a guy and a girl, and the guy goes off to war and it basically is their story from then on. And Channing Tatum plays John(definate plus!). And tonight I'm going to my friends Quinceneara(not quite sure how to spell it), which will be a blast! Since I have never been to one before:)
Also, another little bit of exciting news! I got my PERMIT! wahooo! yep, this monday I went and got my permit at the DMV. And let me tell you, that is a crazy place! but now that its all over with I can drive, I just went out this morning and drove! hahaha:)
My grandparents from Illinois are here right now. Which is always fun since I only get to see them twice out of the year. And we have no school next friday or monday(holla!), so I think we are gonna do some stuff around the town with them.
